Whittier Seeks Assistant Water Polo Coach

WHITTIER, Calif. -- Whittier College in Whittier, Calif. (NCAA Division III – Member of the SCIAC conference, and WWPA for the Men’s Water Polo team) is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men's and Women's Water Polo Coach to begin in June/July 2009:

Responsibilities include assisting the Men’s and Women’s Aquatics programs in all aspect including, but not limited to, coaching and teaching athletes in the sports of swimming and water polo, strength training, recruiting prospective student athletes, practice planning, season planning, scouting, game management, travel coordination, equipment purchasing, and fund raising. The ideal commitment calls for 20+ hours a week, not including competition on weekends.

Qualifications should include collegiate experience in water polo, and swimming. Coaching experience preferred. Individual shall posses strong time management skills, organizational skills, and a strong enthusiasm for both swimming and water polo.

This is a part time position. Compensation includes a yearly stipend to be paid monthly. Position to remain open until filled.
