Brown's Lauren Presant & Princeton's Claire Jacobson Earn 2009 Spring Academic All-Ivy Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Brown University's Lauren Presant (Jr., Poway, Calif./Poway) and Princeton University's Claire Jacobson (Sr., San Luis Obispo, Calif./San Luis Obispo) earned 2009 Spring Academic All-Ivy League honors. The pair was among 80 men and women who hold a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average and were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team.

A Human Biology major, Presant led the Bears with 100 goals and 54 assists to earn the 2009 Northern Division Most Valuable Player award and All-Northern Division first team honors in leading Brown to fourth place at the Eastern Championship.  An All-Eastern Tournament first team honoree, she will be named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete team later this spring.

A 2008 All-Southern Division second team selection, Jacobson tallied 26 goals, seven assists, 28 steals, 41 ejections drawn and two field-blocks as the Tigers placed sixth at the Eastern Championship.  A politics major, she will be named to the CWPA Scholar-Athlete team later this spring.
