Indiana's Lauren Wyckoff Helps Club Team Capture USA Water Polo 20-Under National Championship
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.
- Indiana University sophomore Lauren Wyckoff (Los Altos,
Calif./Los Altos) scored one goal for the Stanford Red
club team in a thrilling 13-10 overtime victory against the Santa
Barbara Water Polo Club on July 23 to earn the USA Water Polo
Women's 20-Under National Championship in Stockton, Calif.
Wyckoff and Stanford Red finished the tournament with a perfect
7-0 record, which included a 12-11 overtime win in the semifinals
against the Chino Hills Area Water Polo team.
Lauren's sister and Hoosier teammate Cassie Wyckoff (Fr.,
Los Altos, Calif./Los Altos) competed at goalkeeper for
Stanford White, which finished the tournament with a 2-3 record
after winning the 13th place game against Pacific, 9-7.
The Wyckoff sisters also joined forces over the weekend on
Stanford Red to compete in the USA Water Polo Women's National
(20-over) Championships on July 24-26 in Stockton, Calif.
