Penn State Erie-The Behrend College Releases 2009 Women's Schedule

ERIE, Pa. -- Three tournaments highlight the Penn State Erie-The Behrend College 2009 women's water polo recently released by the Behrend Lions' Department of Athletics.

PSU-Erie will open the season on March 7-8 at the University of Michigan as the Behrend Lions will take on Grove City College and the host Wolverines (March 7) before squaring off with Indiana University (March 8).

Following the trip back to the Keystone State, the team will travel to Salem International University (March 21) for a one game stop before returning to Pennsylvania and the campuses of Chatham University (March 21 - exhibition) and Washington & Jefferson College (March 22).

The team will then face four games in three days as the Lions will host Utica College (March 27) and Chatham (March 28), travel to Mercyhurst College (March 29) and return home to take on Gannon University (March 29).

It is then back to the road as Penn State ventures west to the Midwest Invitational at Carthage College (April 4-5) to wrap-up the regular season.

Following the Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division Championship at Indiana University on April 18-19, and a possible berth at the Eastern Championship on April 24-26 at Harvard University, the squad will wrap-up the season on May 1-3 at the Division III Collegiate National Championship on the campus of the University of California-Santa Cruz.
