Cal Poly's Erika Bigbie Named February 2 Pacific Coast Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- California Polytechnic State University's Erika Bigbie (So., San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) scored seven goals in four wins to lead the No. 1 nationally ranked Mustangs to a 4-0 start in the division and earn the February 2 Pacific Coast Division Player of the Week award.

Overall, Cal Poly knocked off the University of California-Irvine (13-3 W), No. 4 ranked the University of California-Los Angeles (11-10 W), the University of California-Los Angeles "B" (11-7 W) and the University of Southern California (14-5 W) as the Mustangs increased their division win streak to 44 consecutive games (including the division championship tournament) dating back to an 8-6 loss to Fresno State University on February 20, 2005.  The Mustangs avenged the loss to Fresno later in the season by knocking them off 6-5 in the division title game on the way to capturing the 2005 National Collegiate Club Championship.
