BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Notre Dame's Christina Romano (Jr., River Forest, Ill./Fenwick) tallied 10 goals in three games, and added a strong defensive effort in the fourth, to earn the February 2 Midwest Division Player of the Week award as the Fighting Irish knocked off Miami University (10-4 W), Grand Valley State University (5-3 W), Ohio University (15-5 W) and Washington University (13-0 W) over the weekend.

A 2008 National Collegiate Club All-America honorable mention selection, she netted six goals to account for over half her team's scoring against Miami, before adding three versus Ohio and a single tally against Washington.  She failed to score against Grand Valley State, but added a strong defensive effort to add to her team high eight steals over the weekend.
