Hartwick's Kirsten Hudson Named February 2 Northern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- 2008 Collegiate Water Polo Association Northern Division Player of the Year and ACWPC All-America honorable mention selection Kirsten Hudson (Jr., Wellington, New Zealand/Sacred Heart) of Hartwick College continued to be the dominating force in her division as she tallied eight goals in three goals at the Cal-Irvine Mini-Tournament versus three nationally ranked opponents to earn the February 2 Northern Division Player of the Week award.
Against No. 7 Arizona State University in a 16-6 loss, she netted two goals and a pair of assists before registering four goals and two assists in an 8-6 victory over Division III No. 1 ranked Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. She wrapped up her week with two goals in a 12-7 loss to No. 13 ranked and host the University of California-Irvine.
Hudson and the No. 13 ranked Hawks will continue the season on February 4 against the nation's best as they tangle with No. 1 ranked the University of Southern California.
