Pennsylvania's Elizabeth Lawrence Named April 6 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- University of Pennsylvania goalie Elizabeth Lawrence (Sr., Albany, N.Y.) made 12 saves, including four stops on break-aways and three five-meter penalty shots, to earn the April 6 Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Week award and lead the No. 13-nationally ranked Quakers to a 9-6 victory over the University of Virginia in the division title game.

Overall, she helped the Quakers knock off University of North Carolina (16-4 W), University of Richmond (13-3 W), University of Pittsburgh (18-1 W) and Virginia at the division championship tournament hosted by Pennsylvania State University as Penn clinched the program's fourth consecutive (2006-09) and fifth overall (2004, 2006-09) division title.
