Southwest Division Championship Set For April 4-5

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) in consultation with the United States Air Force Academy has elected to contest the Southwest Division Championship this weekend (April 4-5, 2009) at the United States Air Force Academy. The championship was in question due to a severe weather advisory for 6-12 inches of snow in the Colorado Springs region.

A reminder to all Southwest Division teams and fans: As the Northwest Division runner-up (University of Washington) has declined their bid for a second team to attend Nationals, the Southwest Division will receive opportunity to have two teams (first & second place in the division) attend the National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of California-Davis in early May.
