Brown's Sarah Glick Named April 20 Northern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University's Sarah Glick (Jr., Bonita, Calif./Bonita Vista)) posted nine goals, nine assists and six steals in a 3-1 weekend for the No. 19-nationally ranked Bears to earn the April 20 Northern Division Player of the Week award and lead her team to second place in the division and a berth in the Eastern Championship field.
She tallied three goals in a 16-4 win over Connecticut College, chpped in another three as Brown rallied to knock-off Harvard University 8-7 in overtime and led the team in a 4-3 victory over Utica College to advance to the division title game and an automatic bid to the Eastern Championship field.
Against Harvard, she completed a hat-trick with 26 seconds left in regulation to knot the game at 7-7 for her fourth game-tying goal of the season and to force overtime.
Versus No. 15-ranked Hartwick College in the title tilt, she pumped in another three goals agains the Hawks in an 11-7 loss.
The award marks her third Player of the Week honor this year as she previously recevied recognition on February 23 and April 13.
Glick and the Bears will continue the season this weekend at Harvard University at the 2009 Eastern Championship.
