Kate Dunn Named Indiana University March Female Scholar-Athlete of the Month
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Six Indiana
student-athletes have been recognized for their efforts on and off
the field as the February and March Scholar-Athletes and
C.H.A.M.P.S. Champ of the Month. For the month of February,
freshman Nate Mitchell and sophomore Jori Davis were named IU's
Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Month, while senior Scott
Kelly was named the C.H.A.M.P.S. Champ of the Month. For the month
of March, freshman David Erdy and sophomore Kate Dunn (So.,
Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) were honored with
Indiana's Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Month, and
freshman Marina Karamanis was named the March C.H.A.M.P.S. Champ of
the Month.
Dunn, a 6-1 center, has played in 31 matches for the Hoosier water
polo team and scored seven goals on 36 shots.
"Kate is a very hard worker, both in the pool and in the
classroom, so this a great honor for her to get rewarded for that
hard work and very well deserved," Indiana head water polo coach
Barry King said.
