Princeton Review Tabs University of Maryland "Best Athletic Facilities"

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Princeton Review ranked the University of Maryland athletic facilities tops in the country, as released by the publication earlier this week.

The survey asked 120,000 students at 368 colleges to rate their schools on a multitude of topics. The 80-question survey asked students about their institution's academics, campus life, administration, student body and themselves. Findings are published yearly in The Princeton Review's annual college guide, The Best 368 Colleges (Random House/Princeton Review).

Maryland edged Texas A&M University, Wabash College (Indiana), University of Florida and University of Tennessee for the best athletic facilities in the nation. It is the first year the topic has been part of the Princeton Review's survey.

Maryland also ranked second in `Students Pack the Stadiums' and sixth in `Best College Newspaper'.

The University of Maryland will highlight its aquatics facility in the spring as the Terrapins will serve as host of the 2009 NCAA Women's Water Polo National Championship at the University's Campus Recreation Center Natatorium.
