Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) http://www.ecac.org The CWPA, MAAC, and ECAC jointly coordinate men's and women's championships for the teams in our membership that are also part of the ECAC and MAAC.

Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference

http://www.maacsports.com Several CWPA institutions have women's programs that compete within the MAAC. The CWPA and MAAC administrations work together to facilitate this competition, with the CWPA coordinating the officials' assignments for all MAAC games.

National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics
(NAIA)
http://www.naia.org The NAIA is a member based organization consisting of colleges and universities. Its purpose is to conduct championships and publish rules for the sports it sponsors. The CWPA is not a member of the NAIA, although several CWPA institutions that compete on the club level are members.
National Collegiate Athletic Association
(NCAA)
http://www.ncaa.org The NCAA is a member based organization consisting of colleges and universities. Its purpose is to conduct championships and publish rules for the sports it sponsors. It conducts a water polo championship each year for the member institutions that offer the sport on the varsity level. The CWPA is a member conference of the NCAA.
Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(SCIAC)
http://www.thesciac.org/ The SCIAC is a multi-sport Division III conference that offers water polo as a conference sport on the varsity level. They have an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
United States Water Polo
(USWP)
http://www.usawaterpolo.com USA Water Polo serves as the National Governing Body of the sport. Its primary focus is the training of the men's and women's National Teams, as well as foster growth throughout the country in the sport.
Western Water Polo Association
(WWPA)

The WWPA is an association of NCAA member institutions that offer water polo as a varsity sport. They have an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship for both men and women, similar to the CWPA.
