Saline High School (Mich.) Seeks Varsity Girls' Head Water Polo Coach (6/20/2010)

Saline High School seeks a head girls' water polo coach.  Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent,  knowledge about the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport, ability to obtain current CPR/First Aid certification, ability to work effectively with sport coaching staff, parents and school staff.  Experience working with high school-aged students preferred. Prior coaching experience at high school or college level preferred

Position complies with MHSAA rules/off season policies and department/district policies.  Maintains consistent communication with Water Polo Club Board. Conducts well-organized practices. Develops positive self-image with athletes. Maintains effective pre-season and in-season conditioning programs. Maintains active recruitment techniques for all sport programs. Demonstrates public support/loyalty for fellow coaches. Demonstrates positive team sportsmanship toward opponents and officials. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and water polo club board as applicable.

The season runs from March 1, 2011 - June 10, 2011, with hours (tryouts/practices) to be determined.

Staples High School Seeks Coach for Water Polo Club (5/28/2010)

We have a third year boys water polo club team that has approximately 20 players of varying experience.  The team has competed in inter-school matches and tournaments in our area.  They have shown tremendous progress in the course of the season and strong interest for next fall. We are seeking a head coach to launch and further develop this program.  Responsibilities to include running practices, fitness/dry land training, game strategy and organizing matches against other teams.  We compete against prep schools, clubs and high schools in the CT area via games and tournaments. The season is 12 weeks, approximately 8-10 hours per week, and a stipend is available.
