* Western Illinois claimed the No. 4 seed (before dropping out of the championship) based on goal differential between the three teams tied. WIU defeated IL State 8-6 and fell to NIU 15-14 for a +1 goal differential, while NIU downed WIU 15-14 and lost to IL State 12-10 for a -1 goal differential and IL State fell to WIU 8-6 and defeated NIU 12-10 for a 0 goal differential. Once the tie is broken between the three teams, head-to-head results are used to determine the next seed as IL State defeated NIU 12-10 to claim the sixth seed.
